Will Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Work on Crowns, Veneers or composite bonding?
The answer is yes — but with some important detail.
Understanding Cosmetic Teeth Whitening
Our whitening sessions use Naturawhite BluForsa-X Gel, a UK-compliant cosmetic whitening formula that is safe, effective, and non-dental. The gel is applied in a sterilised, single-use mouth tray that you control by administered yourself, making the process straightforward and comfortable. We will never touch your teeth or mouth. You can read more on our cosmetic teeth whitening offering and FAQs here.
BluForsa-X is designed to remove surface stains and restore brightness across your smile. It works gently on enamel and is supported by enamel-strengthening ingredients, making it suitable for everyday cosmetic use.
Crowns, Veneers, and composite bonding
Crowns, veneers, caps, fillings, and composite bonding don’t whiten in the same way as natural enamel because they’re made from porcelain or resin. However, they can still stain and discolour over time from tea, coffee, wine, or smoking.
It restores crowns and veneers to their original colour by lifting surface stains.
It is completely safe for use on dental work and will not damage or weaken the material.
It’s important to note that BluForsa-X will not lighten beyond the shade they were originally created in. For example, a crown that was manufactured in an ivory shade will return to ivory, not to a lighter colour.
